Would you like comprehensive cover BEFORE and DURING your trip? We offer you two tailor-made products from HanseMerkur Reiseversicherung so that you can travel carefree.
You can take out the travel insurance packages with just a few clicks when you book your trip with us.
If you cancel a travel booking or start a trip late for an insured reason, we will reimburse you for the contractually owed cancellation costs or the additional outward travel costs.
Insured reasons are, for example
- unexpected and serious illness
- accidental injury, death
- pregnancy, complications during pregnancy
- Loss of employment, unemployment due to unexpected termination of employment by the employer for operational reasons and reinstatement after unemployment
- Sum insured: Corresponds to the insured travel price.
The trip interruption insurance pays the full travel price for additional return travel costs in the event of premature or delayed return travel and in the event of trip interruption within the first half (max. within the first 8 days of travel) of the trip, later the pro rata travel price and reimburses the unused travel services in the event of delayed departure.
Insured reasons are, for example
- unexpected and serious illness
- accidental injury, death
- delay in means of transportation
- Natural disasters and natural hazards at the vacation destination
Protect yourself against third-party claims for compensation for personal injury and property damage. In the event of an insured event, the amount of compensation for damaged mobile furnishings in the accommodation as well as the costs for the emergency key service and replacement keys are covered.
- Sum insured: up to EUR 1.5 million lump sum for personal injury/property damage, including up to EUR 25,000 for rental damage (damage to privately rented rooms in buildings)
- Furniture and key protection up to EUR 1,000 per trip

With medical travel insurance, you benefit from comprehensive cover in the event of illness or accident - and best of all: there is no limit to the sum insured!
Assistance and assumption of costs, e.g. for
- outpatient treatment by a doctor
- inpatient treatment in hospital
- medically prescribed medicines, dressings and aid
- transportation to the nearest doctor/hospital and back to the accommodation
- medically appropriate and justifiable return transportation
Insurance cover is provided if your luggage is affected by an insured event. An insured event occurs if your checked-in luggage is lost, destroyed or damaged.
