Bol - Island of Brač

Bol, with its isolated position on the southern coast of the island of Brac, is not only the most ancient town on the island but is also one of the most famous vacation destinations of the Adriatic Sea. The town is rich with historical monuments and magnificent natural scenery. Its most famous beach, the “Golden Horn” is known as the most beautiful beach in Croatia. This beach is a unique phenomenon of nature; it looks like a pebble tongue in the sea which turns its end to the left or to the right dependent on the wind and the current of the sea water. At the back of Bol there is the highest hill in all the Adriatic islands – Vidova Gora. In Bol there are a lot of restaurants with national and international specialities, served with the best wines of the island. For those who like practicing sports during the holidays, Bol offers 25 tennis courts, windsurfing, water sports, bocce (boules), bowling, soccer, basketball, volleyball, scuba diving courses and paragliding from the Vidova Gora.
