MY Vilma

Port of Trogir - Central Dalmatia

Premium

Description

More than 50 years ago, Srećko Novaković and his ship Pravedan started to sail with tourists through the Croatian islands. In the last couple of years, his son Mario, a former football professional, assisted him. For quite a long time, Mario was thinking about how he could offer even more comfort to his guests. As you cannot simply enlarge a “small” ship like the Pravedan, he decided to build a new ship. And he decided to build a ship without masts, i.e. not a motorized sailing boat, but a comfortable motor yacht – the MY Vilma. The advantages of such a ship cannot be denied: it can pass through bridges which are too low for most of the motorized sailing boats. For example the bridge over the Neretva river nearby Rogotin, which is even too low by one metre for the Pravedan with its height of “only” 15 metres. Therefore, the Vilma can also sail on our route T5 through the unique Neretva River Delta to Metković, from where it is only a stone's throw to Mostar. Mario has built a new ship in winter 2018/2019, so that his son Antonio has taken over the command, who has long since followed in the nautical footsteps of his grandfather and father. The Vilma quickly became one of the best booked ships in our fleet, and not only the comfort on board, but also the hospitality and service of the Novaković family contribute to this.

Location

Port of Trogir - Central Dalmatia

One of the most picturesque old towns of Dalmatia. Trogir – about 20 km north of Split, close to the airport. The old town is situated on a small island, which is connected by a bridge to the main land. Another bridge leads from this island to the island of Čiovo, upstream of Trogir. Due to its numerous monuments from all periods, Trogir is also called “Museum City”. It is a great experience to stroll through the narrow alleys during the afternoon or evening time. The massive walls, defence towers, churches, frescoes and vaults are simply astonishing. It is also interesting to take a look into the old back yards. After visiting the museums, treasuries, art collections and old libraries, restaurants, cafés, taverns and the typical Konobas invite you to enjoy a relaxing break. Seget, which is situated right next to Trogir, actually consists of two villages, Seget Donji with its superb stone and gravel beaches, and Seget Gornji, set a few miles away on a mountain, with its ancient stone houses. In short: Trogir and Seget are the ideal combination for a relaxing and exciting vacation.
