Baška - Island of Krk

Baska is situated in a wonderful bay, framed by the cliff tops of the high chain of the Velebit Mountains on the mainland and in the other direction by the island of Prvic and the hillside vineyards and also by the olive groves close to the town. Today Baska is one of the most visited bathing resorts on the island of Krk with an impressive 1,800 metre long gravel beach which is one of the most popular beaches on the Adriatic coast. The well maintained old part of town with its steep lanes and rich historical inheritance also has a hundred-year old tradition in tourism.
