Location
Hvar - Island of Hvar - Central Dalmatia
The town of Hvar is easy accessible from various sides, but probably the most attractive way to enter it is from the sea side. Admiring the old town, you will notice the romantic “Riva” surrounded by beautiful palms, the ancient city walls which end with the tower from the 7th century, on the hill above the town. On almost every corner you will find historical monuments which witness the long and rich history of Hvar. The layout of the town has been changed many times over the centuries, but today’s form is from the Renaissance period. Many visitors to Hvar acclaim that it is “the small box of treasures” of the Adriatic. It is important to notice that Hvar has the oldest theatre in Dalmatia. The favourable climate is very good for the healing of pulmonary diseases. Hvar invites its guests to spend their holidays in the numerous comfortable hotels, to enjoy the sun and the warm Adriatic Sea on its quiet beaches and to experience the night life, which is probably one of the best in this region of Croatia.Excursions: the islands “Pakleni otoci ", the cave Grapcev, the islands Scedro and Zecevo, visit to the towns of Split, Trogir, Solin, Dubrovnik, the National Park Krka, the “Blue cave” on the island Bisevo and many more.
