MS Kapetan Kuka / Route R2
Port of Rijeka - Kvarner Region
Description
Named after the famous movie character “Captain Hook”, this marvelous steel-hull vessel is fortunately not commanded by pirates, but by Captain Pero Kalebić from the small island of Šolta. Captain Pero and his former boat “Zelenbor” used to be part of our fleet for many years. In summer of 2015, the Kalebić family decided to buy a new vessel and to celebrate their comeback. Before the 2016 cruise season started, the Kapetan Kuka went through an overhauling process including renovation of all cabins. Furthermore, a bathing platform with showers has been installed at the stern. By the way, Pero speaks good English, and German as well, because his wife Sylvia came aboard the Zelenbor as a German holidaymaker in 1981, and has been living with Pero on the island of Šolta for more than 40 years now.
